Visiting Patients
Visiting Times
There are no formal restrictions on visiting. Occasionally, however, we do suggest that the number of visitors is reduced if the patient requests this. We ask visitors to sign in at the reception desk on arrival and to sign out when they leave.
Information for Visitors
There are overnight stay facilities for partners and relatives. If a close relative lives a long distance from the hospice it may be possible to provide accommodation. Please ask a nurse on the ward.
Children of all ages are welcome. There is a designated play area. The responsibility for young children visiting the hospice remains with their parents or guardians. Children must be supervised in the gardens.
Well Behaved Pets are also welcome as visitors. These should be kept on leads at all times. Please ask a nurse on the ward. We ask you to tell a nurse if a patient is intending to go outside of the hospice building with a visitor. Relatives may contact the hospice 24 hours a day for information, see Contact Us for details.
Snack Bar
The Snack Bar in the hospice lounge area is open daily from approximately 10.00am until 7.00pm. Visitors may purchase snacks, hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and biscuits.
